It is not centered over the needle hole in the feed plate so unless youre sewing little buttons there is no way to put the needle through button hole on the right
The photo link below shows the distinctive foot alongside the janome foot
and want all the buttons to look evenly done then this foot is for you
Sure if i pop a button ill just sew it by hand but if you are making a blouse or dress etc
