Pros
Lenovo thinkcenter monitor very specific about needing to have a displayport cable for a second monitor. Works well, i have my huion kamvas pro plugged into the hdmi section of this cord.
No issues with quality, connection, or compatibility. The connections are snug and tight as should be. It works well without any noticeable issues.
Cons
The case around the connector is very flimsy. Just more deceptive advertising here on amazon. There is a short in one pin.
The screen glitches and shows the wrong colors while jittering the picture around. This is super annoying and it is practically useless as its hard to see or do any work at just a low resolution. Can’t see the mouse our anything.

I needed to go from a low profile video card which had 2 display port sockets but not a hdmi socket to a kvm switch that was hdmi

This is a dongle rather than a small piece of plastic

The sockets on the video board didnt have provisions for retaining screws so the short length of cable probably makes this adapter less likely to be dislodged

You just unpack it plug it into the displayport port of your computer or whatever you need to adapt to hdmi and then connect your hdmi plug into the other end of this device

I had to purchase this adapter after realizing that the secondary monitor i purchased for my gaming pc didnt come with displayport ports and my pc only had one hdmi port that was already assigned to another monitor

Generally using an adapter could cause certain issues like screen flickering but so far i havent experienced any of that

You might be better off just purchasing a monitor that comes with native displayport ports built into it rather than forcing adaptation with the gpu and monitor transmitting through two different cords
