This tale of adventure explores the good (hospitality, nature, blues) and the bad (a racist history) with insight and humor. It feels like an honest and clear-eyed look at ordinary people living ordinary lives as they are in the south.
Loved this book, from clarksdale, worked in delta, and graduated from dsu in cleveland. I find myself buying more and more books this way where i can enjoy them both reading and listening. Ordered book for english comp 2 college class.
Author has a good way of relaying every day life in a way that is interesting. Eccentrics abound in the delta…. There was so much interesting information about mississippi itself. Fun to read about the creatures and weeds of mississippi.
