Having undertaken some research and being directed to another popular online site there appeared an item which the kw808 or bob as he has become affectionately known is apparently identical to see advert which seemed to do the job of reading obd ii codes at a reasonable price but had a number of negative comments

Have undertaken a quick straw poll of immediately available cars and can confirm bob can also read the codes in a skoda and land rover disco 4 not the 1 not surprising obd i probably despite the diagnostic multipin

The manual that comes with the scanner is comprehensive and logical although there are a few translationrelated spelling mistakes

Overall i think this is a really competitively priced scanner that does pretty much everything a diy vehicle mechanic would need of a diagnostic scanner
