Pros
Couplers make it easier to connect to outdoor wi-fi networks. Can also be used to connect an outdoor led light controller to wi-fi.
Even beefy cat 6 cables will fit these couplers. They're bigger than i expected but that's not a bad thing. They’re larger than you might think, 5” long and 1.
Tia/eia 568-c. Is a waterproof rj45 coupler. It's also using shielded rj45 plugs, so it's a good choice for shielded installations. Waterproof design for protection in harsh weather conditions.
The gasket works with all the round ethernet cables i’ve tried on. The center piece is an rj 45 coupler which is threaded on both sides to accept a cylinder.
Cons
The sleeve is a split ring and difficult to remove from holder. Once this sleeve is around the ethernet cable it must be carefully and tediously fit back into the compression holder.
