You’ve got to remember that this is 80w so it only consumes the same amount of power that your bedroom bulb would have consumed in the 1990s so it’s not going to heat your summer house to the point where you can parade around in your underwear on boxing day

That said it gets hot too hot to hold

I have mine turned up around 15 and so it seems to kick in when the temp drops below 7 degrees
