Pros

The oven itself has a thermostat. The epoxy putty slug holds enough heat that the thermometer reads the average temperature.

It works like a charm. The jenn air is generally considered a good quality unit, but not on par with the aga pro.

Checked both bake, roast and convection roast. The baker in our family is very happy to have this. Used for oven temp control as oven controller is broken and no longer available.

Cons

After 1 hour, both mechanicals read 350. It reads boiling water at 45-50 c (while steam is coming off) when turned on in a 71 degree room, it reads 3. Put it in my rv oven, for more accuracy.

It is past the time amazon allows me to return for refund or replacement. Tried another battery. No way to recalibrate. There are no instructions on how to reset the item.
