We have a nerf football too, but that one is a bit harder and relegated to outdoor use only. This ball is of better quality than the nerf. It’s lightweight enough to throw, and the size is just right for fourth-grade hands.

Kids love to use it in the basement to toss around. Perfect for tossing around with my 9 and 7 yr old boys.

There is a slight indentation on the football because of the packaging. It's soft enough to not hurt when hit it the face.

Ball is soft as stated but hard to hold even for an adult. Even after being out of the box fir 2 weeks, it has creases indented in to the ball all around the front. It also has some deformities from the box that have never left it.
