Texture is soft, smooth, and breathable. Comfy and breathes. Hopefully it loosens with time.
They keep your feet very comfortable and not sweaty. My feet sweat more then anyone i know. They seem to let in a lot of air and keep your foot cool. My wife is very happy about that! I'm very impressed with how well they work in my boot.
Bamboo socks wick moisture and stay up and don't slide down. I have larger calves and they are a bit snug in this area.
Cons
Ankle and up shrunk in the wash and is even tighter. After washing they shrink to the point i cant wear them anymore.

They do shrink a little after washing but not to where they dont fit or fit to tight
