Pros & Cons

The AI used to provide these results are constantly improving. These results might change.

Pros

Less flicker than halogen bulbs. This product directly replaces the halogen g8 bulbs in my 120vac under-cabinet puck lights.

They are dimmed flawlessly with no flicker. They fit my cabinets under my kitchen and they are perfectly bright like i like them! The connections are sturdy and it handles dimming well.

Check out the attached slo-mo video. These are fantastic. I hope they last. I like the natural light coloration.

The color of the light (2700k) is close to that produced by halogen bulbs. Other competing led bulbs in this size arrange the leds radially such that they point out in all directions.

Cons

The dimming is horrible and does not work well with my microwave. After the bulb warms up for a few minutes, it goes to 100% brightness. Also, the color index seems to be poor. It claims cri of 85+, but i think it's probably no better than around 60.

First pic is dicuno g8 led left with another brand 2700k led g8 right

If you can see the other brand is more 3000k and the cri is off a bit which gives the paint color to the right of the coffee po...  Read More

This not only fits way better in the puck but does not buzz like the other brand

Ive tried many other brands that claim to be dimmable but flicker horribly when dimmed

The other major problem ive had is lifespan

Well have to see how long these last

It will probably work in a newer flashlight but mine is a “negative”…

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The nice thing about them is that the led emitters are all on one side of the bulb so all the light is projected downward onto the countertop area

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Unlike some of the others led bulbs that have emitters on both sides where you lose some of the light projected upward into the reflector and then downward and shadowed by the bulb itself

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Installing with the leds facing towards the reflector rather than having them exposed softened the light and had them looking more like 2700k as advertised

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I was worried this wouldn’t dim because none of the other g8 bulbs with 2700k i found would dim
