Pros

Very pleased with mp4 video quality. Good item for the money. Absolutely recommend it.

Used it to convert 16 camcorder tapes into about 40 gb. Cheap easy way to convert vhs to digital.

Cons

Blue skies do not blend from one shade of blue to the next, there are distinct lines separating each shade. Image comes out dark and audio is out of sync.

Using the powerdirector is possible but event manual doesn't go into what the different formats are and when they should be used. The tech support is non-existent. Diamond's support site just reloads the page when i tried to make a support ticket.

Unprofessional, lazy *, and incompetent instructions. Website is a headache, the directions are so difficult to follow and full of contingencies.

Ive got a large box of vhs tapes and the picture quality is great
