Pros
The easy to wash handle is comfortable and resilient. The dexter russell is easy to sharpen and the handles are textured for a safe grip. It is extremely sturdy and stays sharp for long periods of time.
This cuts tomatoes better than a slicer. It's nice to cut tomatoes without partially crushing them. The dexter russell 6 vegetable knife is great to use for cutting vegetables and fruit.
Cons
Why is there a ring between the blade and the handle that extends beyond the blade on a vegetable knife? If you want a knife where the blade is capable of being flush on a board this is not for you.

Why is this knife special for vegetables well the blade is a bit stiffer and the end of the knife has an angle so you can get a better cut on the carrot or vegie that you are working with

The flat tip proved very difficult to stab yourself with even when cutting a thousand strawberries with frozen hands in a cooler yet gave a very aggressive end to the blade which can be easily drawn across little fiddly bits to precisely slice whatever you need
