Pros

It works though, that's a definite. This is very impressive for an otc fix.

It's the rinsing that removes the dye. The product shrinks the dye molecules so you can rinse them from the strands. The longer the rinse, the better the results.

If your desperate than just use it and deal with the smell lol. The scent is terrible, but the results are worth it. Removes color and moisturizes hair.

Cons

This is not low effort… once you get to rinsing it off you have to shampoo like 4 times. Rinse it for 20 minutes, then shampoo and rinse for 5 multiple times.
