Pros
Easy to setup. It includes clear assembly instructions and calibrating directions. Double checked it with a calibrated weight.
Balance beam is at eye-height. No more frustration over different readings and my ocd is now ocd. Lots of folks don't seem to understand the balance beam portion of the weighing mechanism.
There is no wondering if the battery is low or one day you are five pound heavier/lighter. There are 9 adults and a toddler that weigh frequently at my house.
Cons
Easy to assemble but won’t level on 12 inch tile flooring. It constantly swings; the arrow hits the top and then bottom even with no one on scale. It looks like the moving mechanism in the bad were knocked loose and fell out.
Whether we got a dud or not the company is happy with this trash. No assembly and setup instructions were included. No maintenance instruction was included. I'm disappointed because detecto is an american company.

But once correctly assembled works like a champ should last me forever
Exactly the same scale we can get from our medical supply company at a better price

Screwed the top part on tipped it on its side on the floor and finished

Some of the welds are crooked but apparently not in critical areas that would impact its accuracy

In other words they were worthless for keeping track of weight loss

Its smaller rider which shows pounds can come to rest anywhere along its beam so although that beam is marked in 14 pound increments one can estimate even smaller fractions of a pound
