I suspect that over 60 you should have a mid support

Wall thickness not sufficient for 8’ length sagsbows terribly once clothes is hung on it

There were one or two light scratches in the finish of the rod we received but not enough to be a problem unless you are making some sort of display piece where perfection from all sides is required

If you need to cut to size with a hacksaw no worries it will not chip where cutting

They do need to be supported in the center if your using the full length and loading the bar with a fair amount of clothes
