    The non-cam installation process was easy, make sure to leave yourself about a foot of romex for connecting the leads as the leads inside the light are short.

    I knew going into this project that led lights will hum when dimmed if a powered dimmer (also called an elv for electronic low voltage) is not utilized.

    Granted there are some reports of no humming from various people out there that used non-elv dimmer switches, but the majority report this problem.

    A foam ring is included to make an airtight seal between the body of the fixture and the drywall, but with the foam rings installed, it made the beauty rings stand off about 1/16th of an inch.

    With the elv dimmers, i'm able to turn them down extremely low for movie watching or just relaxing in the living room and not being in the dark.

    Running on high all day and they never heat up, so putting insulation over them in the attic is ok and actually advised in the manual.
