Pros
I have a ps4 pro, apple tv 4k and a 4k media player going into it outputting to an optoma 4k projector and everything looks and sounds excellent. Bluetooth is a welcome feature and works well. Sound restorer for mp3 playback is nice.
Set up is so easy a monkey could do it, and i mean regular monkey not a super smart chimp or orangutan. Won't rattle windows much; use your powered sub for that.
Cons
Firmware update was greyed out and non-clickable out of the box. Hdmi output seems to have issues. Absolute junk. Never buy another denon receiver.

An excellent product with clear installation instructions
Had an old system that blew up in smoke and i replaced with this great highend quality and versatile system
The result was inconsistent with audio dropout issues
The receiver doesnt like this setup and displays an error message about 4k compatibility between the receiver and the monitor
Price
Av receiver is fabulous bought on sale makes for even greater value
For an entry level denon this is excellent value
I wouldve expected to pay more for this receiver so at this price its a steal
Not bad for the price kind of plain not many features

Delivery on time and this is my fifth denon love them all

Note that the set top box can be connected directly to the tv without issue

I tried using an hdmi splitter to send the hdmi signal to both devices concurrently
There are other denon receivers where the hdmi signal can be configured to correct this issue
Searching amazon the denon avrs540bt popped up along with a few other amplifiers
