The bottom contains a 2mm layer of copper sandwiched between 2 thin layers of even more conductive silver. It heats up much more quickly and evenly than ci. It works fine in the oven but especially on the stovetop.

I considered the copper core allclad stockpot but demeyere custom configures their multilayer configuration for each potpan configuration while allclad features the same core design on all their pots compromising the performance of their saucepans and stock pots
