Where i ended up having difficulty was that the book is written from the perspective of helping the caregiver help the person with dementia live as long as possible at home

Where it doesnt work for me is that it neglects in my opinion the internal lives of the caregivers

There were quotes about how doing these things might be difficult but the caregiver needs to find a way to be more loving kind and understanding but nothing really on how to accomplish those experiences

I ended up feeling like i must be doing it wrong because ive not been able to just let go of my own distress exhaustion and anger as easily as judy seems to be saying it should be
