The ladder is sturdy and well made. However, plan on storing it within the same room and not toting all around the house - it weighs a whopping 20 pounds.

For the money it is perfectly serviceable, especially for the occasional homeowner use. For someone older or someone with mobility issues, it could be difficult to use.

The foot pads are not pads at all, but are hard plastic. This made for a very unstable feeling while standing on it. Instead of having nice rounded handles for support they were squared off.

The steps have begun to bend/buckle after 2 days of use. There is no warning on the ladder for tipping. I weight 120 and the tote was 20 lbs.
