Before purchasing this product i would lie my cookbooks flat on the kitchen counter and this resulted in my having to move around so i could read the directions

Ok so no bag for the screws and no tape to keep them together

Last i looked at the very rough edged base that was obviously not sanded and had no finish on it

We did some gentle sanding smoothed the rough surface and removed the splinters from the edges
