Pros

Installation is real easy and straightforward. Works extremely well, is stable, and extremely durable feeling. My only dislike is that the black coating chips off very easily.

This is a really nicely made adapter and it fits the 12mm diameter through-axle and the 100mm width of my road bike fork perfectly. Used it along with rocky mounts loball track to mount to the bed track system in my toyota tacoma.

Cons

The hitch provides almost zero clamping action. The skewer bolt is too short for a modern style mountain bike. Even after solving for that, the wheel tends to rattle laterally with every single bump.

If i mount it at the edge of the 2x6 it should elevate it enough that the tire is below the 2x6 and the skewer will drop right in

With some imagination and some carefull measurements these can be mounted universally

I am going to mount this on a 2x6 board and put it in the bed of my truck

It wiggled quite a bit despite being mounted firmly to a 2x8 in my truck bed with lag bolts and the quick release skewer firmly closed
