It should also be noted that the brackets are only long enough if this unit is roughly centered between studs

If you cut a hole in the ceiling to match the size of the unit you cant get it in the hole with the brackets on the sides

The only side affect is that its a bit chilly getting out of the shower because it brings fresh air in under the door causing a draft

I bought this and the fan was very noisy like something was rubbing contacted amazon and they made it righti did however try to contact the manufacturer and they still have yet to get back to me after 3 emails

I couldnt hear it running and had to get within about 14 to see the fan moving and hear the slightest sound of air moving
