This plug is after market and comes unplugged at the surge protector adapter continually. Made in china. Died suddenly with no warning.

In addition after a few months the rubber wire insulation around one of the plugs ripped away exposing one of the wires which actually severed

Charger went out on my 4 year old inspiron 1420

Although the box gets hot it is not as hot as the other three adapters all of which failed to function within 5 to 12 months
