Pros

One caveat to this stuff. It loves to escape the tin, which is not overly easy to open. Cleans the tip up very quickly and efficiently. This product extends the life of my solder bits along with allowing the heat to be nice and even.

I teach high school stained glass and have 11 soldering irons that had crazy oxidation on the tips

They were so dirty that they wouldn’t melt solder at all

After all 11 irons were cleaned there was very little powder left and all the oxides were trapped in the glassy mass that was leftover

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Let the heat boil the powder and the oxides dissolve

Side note i had a fume extractor aimed at the tips while i was doing this the odor and the smoke are definitely not something i want to be breathing

Id not use it often but only for tips that just have to have assistance

So when opening go slowly and with great care
