Inverting the spatula and trying to pick up a piece of raw meat with the tip of the tongs didnt work as the meat would just slip out
With the spatula you have to be careful to not drop them off the side and balance them
If you scoop up the same piece of meat with the spatula then the tongs do a good job of holding it in place

Asparagus is a real pain to use with tongs because you cant get under them to lift them off the grill

I was kind of hoping i could use this as tongs to pick things up off a plate and place them on the grill but the design of the tong portion doesnt give much grip to items that arent already scooped up on the spatula

We aren’t usually so divided into stereotypical husbandwife roles but when it comes to grilling it’s a man’s world out there complete with scotch and a cigar while i bask in climate controlled peace
