Some of the reviews state that you need to have a dei alarm for this unit to work however that is not true

The unit can be installed in standalone mode where it will lock and unlock the door automatically

You will however need to use 2 diodes to isolate the alarm from the power door unlock or when you use the unlock switch in the car it will disarm the alarm which is a security hole

You should only use this with a dei alarm system viper clifford python etc and not with your factory alarm

Secure packaging everything was there but i had to reprogram the remote to the unit
