Pros & Cons
Pros
Stephen o'meara seems a fantastic observer, and his writing is quite good as well. I find it easy to use and love the photos and illustrations. The only flaw is the lack of illustration. This pertains to the first edition.
Cons
The kindle version of this book, the most expensive ebook i have ever purchased, is absolutely awful for a number of reasons. There are no chapter stops - the part of the book that is the object catalogue in just one bit fat kindle chapter.

The most frustrating part for me is that his very vivid descriptions of specific observed features in the messier objects are not always very obvious in his drawings or images nor are they annotated in any way
