Pros & Cons

Pros

Ipe deck looks brand new after 1 coat. Installation as easy with a roller brush and the finished product looks great. It takes about a hour to scrub and clean the stairs, and another hour to apply to ipe oil.

Bottom part of the product solidifies after a year or so. There is no getting around regular sealing of ipe decks. Packed in a bag with sawdust, then in a box with padding, the gallon can arrives perfectly every time.

The results are outstanding. Really impressed. Your customer service department is outstanding! Very pleased so far.

Cons

The product is not a clear, grain-enhancing penetrating oil -- it's a * flat shoe-polish brown stain. In less than a month it starts to fade rather dramatically. After the winter and 9 months, the ipe tiles look faded and need a new application.
