Pros

Due to the heaviness it will never be my first choice but the last. I sometimes dislike giving 5-star reviews because they are usually just gushing and don't have much to say that is helpful.

The debuyer carbon steel pans are virtually unparalleled. The secret is in the seasoning of the pans. They perform flawlessly, just like her wok.

The 12 has a cooking space of 9. Added bonus is that my calphalon lid for my 12 pan fits this perfectly. Thankfully it nests well with the 8 pan. I researched a lot (given the cost) & bought the debuyer 12 1/2.

De buyer makes one of the thickest carbon steel pans. They expand outwards. No warping either. Really like this wok with its flat bottom.



Cons

Also ive been using far more peanut and avacado oil for my carbon steels


If you received the pan with some rust spots thats normal and wont matter after youve washed it and seasoned it


The regular debuyer professional carbon plus steel pans are a little bit cheaper and i think they cook better
