As an ex barista, i have to say, it’s a wonderful machine! This de'longhi makes good espresso once you dial in the proper grind for the coffee and tamper pressure. I love a good cup of cappuccino or latte in the morning.

The steam wand is very powerful and is amazing at steaming milk. Faster heat transfer means more accurate gauging of temp so you know when to stop steaming your milk. Comes with the tools you'll need except for a small carafe for frothing milk.
Some tips for the best tasting espresso. It doesn't hype me up, it just wakes me up.

Cons
The coffee filter cup is in four parts, impossible to clean. The cup gets stuck to machine and must be pried loose. I hate the double spout as it limits the crema produced. Never got to brew a single shot.
The milk frother is absolutely trash, big wide nozzle makes for steaming a pain and can get mediocre milk at best. Also lacks power while steaming. You can clearly see it spray water with the steam.

I can now make coffee shop quality coffee at home and the kids love hot chocolate made with the steamed milk
Not like my old keurig that would brew the exact amount and turn itself off with the touch of a button
Also its important not to push the grounds into place with force but rather give them a light tap with the stomper

Its also incredibly fast and easy to clean
Packaging/appearance
And if you want to attempt latte art with the steamed milk the frother makes the bubbles too large
Competitiveness
Have been using a cheapo steam expresso maker
Easy to use…really enjoying the espresso makerthank you
However the milk frother steam wand is no better and probably worse than the one on the cheapo steam espresso maker
Its so easy to use and doesnt take a lot of counterspace

Obviously no body wants to spend 100300 on an espresso machine that doesn’t work very well so i had my doubts after reading some of the other reviews but decided to just try it out
