Pros

A must for a perfectly grilled sandwhich. It heats quickly and evenly. The lid pivots a bit strange compared to other machines.

I like that the plates are not detachable. The nonstick coating is excellent and does not flake.

Hopefully this press lasts longer than the over priced breville. All in all, we like this panini press very much and will continue to get much enjoyment from it!

Cons

The only thing it has is a temperature knob. When this knob in maximum or medium position it is dead cold. The large gap allows grease to shoot out in all directions. The locking latch was misaligned, poor design.

Non-removable plates make this a right royal pain the in the tail section to clean. The only thing you can do to wash this is wipe it down, which is a very timely task considering the grill lines are 1/4 high.

Instead of a toasted sandwich what you get looks like a deeply ridged toasted waffle.
