The unit itself seems beefy and well built. Small and totally water proof. Easy to mount and to wire. Durable light and easy to mount.

When the input voltage fluctuates the output voltage remains stable at 12. V. It boosts a low voltage up to 13. V, and drops a high voltage down to 13 v across the entire range. A requirement for the newer vhf uhf rigs.

Cons

This device is only 13. Vdc open circuit (no load). Adc and either 13vdc to 26vdc connected, drops to 13. At vin=13vdc, vout = 13.

Very easy to install i added a fuse to the line and everything worked perfectly
