Pros

Data shark 110 non-impact punchdown tool. Makes quick work of punching down and trimming. The blades are replaceable, and it's a great value if you're only occasionally punching things down.

Can't beat it for the money. Must have tool. The comfort and quality is what you would expect for this price.

Cuts the wires cleanly. Makes it much easier to get the tiny cables into the correct slots one at a time and cleans up the ends nicely. Sharp enough to cut the redundant wire after the fact.

Very useful little nifty feature. Beastly for home use. This tool is indispensable.

This tool is perfect for diy'ers with small or infrequent network cabling projects. Used this tool to patch my home lan. Ethernet.

Im not sure if this is common and if it isnt im not sure if it is the tool or the jack i purchased

If you experience this problem there is a very easy solution and maybe common knowledge to everyone out there idk just punchdown with more pressure on the noncutting edge and when you hit the stop on the punchdown transfer pressure to the cutting edge

I would not recommend this to someone using it daily

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

However it often did not cut the wire which was actually ok because being the first time networking it allowed me on more than one occasion to pull the wire back out if done incorrectly

I moved into a new house and found that verizon had been there and taken all my cat5 cables and turned the ethernet ports into silly phone terminals by simply twisting the correct wires together

It is up to you to figure out enough pressure
