The second volume of this trilogy amplifies the action and the tension to such a high degree that i was cursing myself for not being able to read faster. The novel is interesting, and is exactly what the middle of a trilogy should be.

Dark apprentice is a cliched mess that's not worth picking up. There's not any room for subtlety. Vague passages are either superfluous or generic descriptions.

I was incensed to find that luke was actually made 'boring' in this book. A silly bad guy who's supposed to be kind of like vader, but isn't.
