They were not uncomfortable out of the box however they break in to be more comfortable as they are worn

Danner moc toe also has a wider bigger toe box which i think just look better in a pair of jeans they are not as narrow as the redwings and especially the thorogoods which i think make your feet look too small

However i feel that the danner moc toes are much more comfortable because the toe platform is wider
