The mat works fine and heals up after cutting on it. Perfect for my quilting room. I am able to cut straight lines and curved shapes without digging in to the mat.

This is a larger one that i purchased for yet larger sheets of glass and wider rolls of kiln shelf paper. It's five layers and self healing so it will last a long time. Just ordered a 2nd one for my craft table.

The downside of this mat is it’s durability. It is only gridded on one side. I use it with a rotary blade cutter and this mat causes the blades to dull very quickly.

Physical size of the mat, if measured beyond the printed grid and ruler markings, is 1/8 less than 18 x 24. It says 36/24, but it's really ohnly about 33 by 22 because of the layout of the numbers.
