Dlink dir-879 is a reliable and dependable home wifi device. Hardwired & wireless speeds are almost identical.

D-link dir 1950 crashes often and fails to communicate with internet cable modem. Nodes on wifi network randomly lose internet but not lan connection, whether wifi or ethernet. I would be connected and suddenly disconnected.

Wifi range is the only good thing about this router. My isp gives me 1g internet and this router barely emits 300mgs. If you only need wifi in one room and it doesn't need to be dependable.
