Almost sent back since i could not get it to read my router but searched internet and someone said same thing but gave instructions on pushing buttons and waiting and i got it to work

Says it only works in mesh with compatible router but i am using it with cox modemrouter without issue

Replaced older basic lower speed dlink extender that also worked without issue

This extender increased wireless signal strength by about 50 relative to the previous situation and enabled a cable connection to the enduse device which had big trouble staying connected wirelessly even with the amplified signal
