This router is plain and simple, unreliable. Now it's actually unusable and i only had this thing for 7 months. All standard, silly instructions.
Lags and needs rebooted often then takes up to 5 minutes for wifi to come back on. Boot and re-boot times for the device are so slow that i think it must be running a processor from the very first apple ipod inside of it.
It has a good range and delivers a good speed, but that's about it. Signal is not that strong either, would lose signal in my room upstairs. I normally like to use the internal lan to connect to different devices but it seems the the device have inter... Read More
Linksys ea4500 randomly started rebooting after 9 years of use. Some online investigation seems to indicate that these models might suffer from overheating, but the unit never felt hot at any given time.

I purchased a much more expensive model that was supposed to offer commercial grade features and wifi signal strength and i could not program it whatsoever

Tried to use for my office in a special networking environment but it was missing a couple of features for what dlink used to be good with

For example the creation of a static route within the local network was not possible only towards the wan which made it for my application useless

The firmware user interface is targeted for network novices which is good for the common user but bad for those who want to get more out of it
