Easy to use simply plugging in the network cables and powering the device. The power connection is usb so it would be an option with the correct lead to replace the supplied power supply and use a usb socket if there is one nearby.
Cons
I've been dismayed to discover fast ethernet means 100mbit/sec only. Might be ok in an attic space but useless under a desk because of the noise. The product shipped is not as shown in photo.

Down side is that on mine none of the ethernet cables that i managed to use clicked into place they just sat there and if the box moved the cables would just come out and you would lose connection
