The real advantage for me is that i can connect a cat6 cable from the gigabit ethernet port on the server directly to one of these ports even though the installed wiring in my law office is only cat5

It was a solid switch up until about a month ago when the fan started failing causing the unit to overheat and connections to fail

I would have liked for it to have been all 101001000mbps bandwidth but of course considering that it was purchased 7 years ago something like that would have been over 1000
