Pros

The light is super bright, the various lighting modes come in handy for all types of rides, and the mount is sturdy and does not loosen during rides. The brightness is enough to light the pavement ahead of me, and i don't fear not seeing a pothole or ...  Read More

The cygolite is much brighter than the hotrod. Higher lumen rating is better but what really shines (pun intended) is the wider beam pattern.

Good product but the bracket is marginally too small for my 32mm handlebars. Easy to mount and detach from the handlebar mount.

This light is priced well. This quality of light is a steal for anything below $80. Bought two, and actuate for a flash light too.

The light charges via a micro usb port on the back of the device, a bit of a nuisance but not a big deal. Fairly quick recharge via usb outlet. The rechargeable battery is a nice feature.

Cons

The brightness is very low and so the run time is irrelevant. When it comes loose--inevitable--the light flops all over the place. Third is the mode switches, i cannot get mine out of whatever mode it is in, it blinks and fades back and forth.

They provide a tiny little clamp thingy that doesn't come close to fitting around the bar, much less engaging the clamp. Main issues are mount is proprietary and a bit bulky.
