Pros & Cons
Pros
The pattern chosen determines the battery life. My riding companions tell me this light is very visible even on bright, sunny days. Charging is a breeze and battery life is good.
Built well, very solid and sturdy. From a safety standpoint they are hard to beat. Very pleased w/this purchase.
Some folks complain about a narrow beam but you must take the time to aim the light perfectly perpendicular to oncoming vehicles. I won't even deduct any points for that since it's so easy to mount and un-mount.
Best daytime mode is the single flash mode and i set mine at the slowest flash interval. Adjustable brightness on the constant on is another plus as well as upgrading the usb port to a micro rather than the mini like my old light has.
Cons
The charge lasts less than 2 min. Won’t charge. Indications of charging via device's light cycled through a dim solid light and a charging flash over the course of a few minutes. Bad battery life for this product is really bad.
Light breaks after every ride. Cygolite warranty is useless. Light is now just junk.

Still blinking the cars away after 8 hours on tour…
Blinks as it is charging and then light goes solid when fully charged

00 on two lights and do not think i’ll be spending another 4050 for another one of these
I wasted a lot of money on other lights only to realize they were not visible greater than ten feet away during daylight
Packaging/appearance
Came with a seatpost mount and seat stay mount
I’ve bought 2 for myself and 2 more coming for christmas gifts
Competitiveness
I have been a fan of this brand for decades and this model is much brighter than its predecessors
Cygolite makes one other version that is called the cygolite hypershot rated at 350 lumens
