Exactly as explained this converter was used to connect appletv to an older hd tv without an hdmi connection only videoaudio inputs

I bought it to hook up newer laptops to an old crt tv so now netflix youtube prime and anything else from the computer can be watched on the tv

You will most likely have to lower the resolution on your computer so that the entire screen fits on the tv screen

This is great for my older tv to hook up my kindle fire stick would have given a 5 star if it had better instructions and the power cord that is required to make it work
