The software does seem quite good, it allows you to configure a variety of options as well as email alerts or through their cloud app. It connects to the mac without software. Works very well with the supplied software and with nut on linux server.

Cons

At 1 am i was awoken by a few loud beeps. Maybe this is a faulty unit, but i rather suspect that the thermal design did not accommodate recharging a fresh battery from its fully discharged state.

Quality

It’s hooked up with the usb and works with the usbhidups driver

Works very well with the supplied software and with nut on linux server

Only issue is that the configuration eg level to alert that the battery is low can only be changed with the supplied software

Competitiveness

In terms of wattage i have a synology nas an imac and a router plugged in and it says load is around 12 so plenty of headroom

Better than a tourch because you can keep your tv running when the power goes off

I went for a lower total watts cyberpower model for cost as the mac mini doesnt draw that much power max around 86w and thats on full load

Connecting it to my nas for autoshutdown was a doddle
