The tv only had 2 500ma usb ports and this new firestick needs at least 1a usb if you want to power it through the tv which you might not find if your tv is more than 3 seconds old

When i turn the tv off the firestick also turns off

The hard drive doesnt have a separate power source and it the wii u doesnt supply enough power on its own

I had to use an extension usb cable to plug the second cable into an acusb charger

It is likely that anyone using this item would need to have an extension cable so im not sure why they made the cable so short
