This light is a massive upgrade in every way. The price tag is a little scary, but in my opinion it's worth every penny. It's costly for most of us, but the nice thing is that you'll never need another one.

Cons
When the power goes out the on time resets to midnight and the off time defaults to 6pm. The light itself is fine but the controller is an unreliable piece of garbage.
One week to respond is unacceptable. If all three of them did it, i'm sure new ones would too, unless i am very unlucky and got three defective ones.
Even with the light maxed out it is nowhere near the amount of light i expected or need to properly grow medium light plants. This is obviously bad as it seriously stresses the fish and turns my tank into an algae cesspool in a couple of days. This un... Read More

Much brighter than the fluval aqua sky thus being better for more difficult plants
Set this up with 6500k setting and within 5 minutes the plants began to pearl at 18 in depth
The remote has a range of about 2ft from the receiver
If i have to move within 2ft of the mounted controller to use the wireless remote it almost seems pointless to have a remote

Co2 and supplements are the same so i can only attribute the thriving plants in my tank to this light

They can stick back on and be used just fine but i am a little disappointed in the quality of the remote especially since the remote is the only way to program and operate the light

I have it set right now to gradually start coming on at 2pm with the gentle sunrise progressing over time to a full sunny day about 12 hr 230pm later and then at 9pm i have it so it slowly goes progressively through the sunset mode until it eventually shuts completely off at 930pm

I have a strong suspicion the ones having problems with this light didnt follow the directions never even looked at the directions or have the inability to follow simple directions no matter how easy to follow they would be
