Great toy, works as advertised. Gave it to my 1yr grandson. My 3-year old grandson absolutely loves it! My granddaughter, who just turned 2-years-old, loves the music and intrigue.
Music is cheerful and cranks good. Purchased for a sock monkey fan. Amp; i do together so that was fun for both of us!
Cons
The metal that makes up the box and lid is almost paper thin. Barely touching it causes the entire thing to flex and bend. That’s why it was dented and handle is bent. It was scratched and literally thrown in the box.

It did for mine as well however i discovered that if you continue to crank it till the song finishes the little tab the holds the lid down will go back in place

While she wants to wind it she has difficulty winding it in one direction without help so she often turns away because she loses interest when the popup takes a long time as she perceives it
