The bottom and handle are some kind of brownish gray metal or plastic cant tell which but it doesnt matter

The plates are very very loose fitting however because they are removable i guess

The tops of the waffles were pale speckled with brown while the bottoms were the way waffles are supposed to look

In truth it does need wiggle room for the expanding batter but the side to side wiggle is excessive in my opinion
